As awareness grows around the impact of psychosocial risk in the workplace, employers are recognising the need for early, targeted intervention to support staff wellbeing and reduce turnover, poor performance, and claims risk.
The Independent Support Program (ISP) by Me&Work provides a proactive, structured framework for addressing these risks—offering confidential, psychologist-led coaching support for staff experiencing challenges in the workplace.
What Is The ISP?
The ISP is a tailored support program designed to:
- Reduce compensable claims
- Address performance and interpersonal issues
- Support employees struggling with psychosocial stressors
- Bridge the gap between HR, IR, and WHS claims teams
Common Referral Reasons Include:
- Ongoing conflict with peers or leaders
- Difficult or ineffective communication styles
- Leadership deficits or unmet team responsibilities
- Poor KPI performance or low confidence
- Staff currently on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
- Allegations of bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour
The ISP Model
Each participant receives personalised support through a structured model:
- Initial consultation with the people leader and HR/IR representative to clarify issues
- Review of business documentation to understand the broader context
- Six (6) x 1:1 sessions with a psychologist (clinical or organisational), delivered through a coaching framework
A comprehensive summary report detailing:
- Focus areas
- Reflections and coaching progress
- Employee insights
- Barriers and risks
- Recommendations for ongoing support
